AI review
- Eve to work up a draft of presentation material, and all to review and comment.
ongoing
- All to collate A/V needs for RSA by the end of February.
ongoing
- Scott to flesh out the IdP discovery problem wiki page
Ongoing but low priority
Topics
• Final refine of 'Infocard Authn to SAML/WS-Fed SSO' scenario - WS-Fed mechanism comparable to <saml:AuthnContext>?
Mike suggests that Msft hoping to get together with Sun et al. Hoping to hear from Sun & Ping as to what they want to build.
Ashish suggests that IDP-initiated would avoid the issue of how WS-Fed might carry logical Authn Context.
Scott adds that he can participate in WS-Fed, but only with unmodified implementation
Abbie suggests simple is better for this IOP.
AI: Mike & Sam to circle the wagons on the issue of IDP-initiated
- next steps for SAML <-> WS-Fed bridging scenario
- interest/viability? - participants & owner - details
Mike thinks Sun needs to indicate interest.
Sampo can do it, but waiting on others. easy to find partners that do one or the other, need to find bridging provider.
Sampo would likely want to prioritize any commitments he might make on this table
Scott thinks this scenario is pretty-much 'been there, done that'... this level of IOP already been demonstrated with SAML 1.1 ....
Ashish, can we create a table on wiki to allow people to sign up?
AI: Eric will put something up on the wiki to capture roles (for both scenarios?)
- need for dry run before RSA?
- hybrid/combination compromise?
Scott doesn't want to preclude F2F, but absolutely requires online at minimum
Mike says they'd probably want to do something online.
Sampo would prefer F2F.
Given Scott's travel constraints, one possibility would be for Ohio to host.
If a F2F happens and it's not in Ohio, Scott would hope to be able to connect in.
Lena, might we have some time in advance at the event?
Scott, nope.
Sampo, what of dates? Near Santa Clara to match up with LAP meeting? Mar 11-13
Scott, does anybody object to week of Mar 17? How many days?
Sampo, 3 is ideal for F2F. But could be combined with online
AI: Scott to confirm ability to host Mar 11-13.
AI: Dervla to talk to Sun about their ability to host the same week of LAP plenary in Santa Clara
RSA attendee reach-out mechanism?
Dervla, any ideas?
Scott, to whom are we reaching out to?
Dervla, anybody and anyone. Already have some registered attendees.
Scott, have to let people know who are going to be going to RSA, also just people in the Bay.
Dervla, any other channels other than RSA's registration page. We are also listed on RSA collateral
Scott, there are some mailing lists, e.g. SAML dev, ID Gang, Internet 2, etc
Dervla, hoping to get official announcement late this week or early next
